built their hives.

to live with respect
and harmony,

This is true. We have allowed ourselves to be distracted by the new world that we do not have the same respect, the same love, the same trust for the world we live in. We no longer (for the most part) live in harmony and the longer we live the more we divide into smaller groups and sometimes those groups into individual.
