Iittle tears

 Iittle tears

 No one hears

Memorial Day

memorial day

memorial day

On memorial day we honor those who have served
The army, air force, marines, the navy , the reserves
We honor those who fought so that we could be free
To enjoy our careers, our friends, our families
We honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice
So we would not pay the worst possible price
To be enslaved, our freedoms torn
Into a lifeless world our children would be born.
This is not about being in favor of war
We all hate the bloodshed, the pain, the gore
This is about people who did what had to be done
Here is hoping that one day,
Wars will be none.

and this includes our four legged friends,
of loyalty, love and valor
even after the end♥

My preen

 My preen,

At times frenetic,

Is far more than just

Aesthetic

Cacaphony of color

 Sunlight glory

Springtime story

So pretty

When pretty we dream

How real it seems

She hid

She hid amongst a world so tall

Trying to be very small

But beauty glows

However it grows.

What says

What says the bird at life so fleeting

At moments

spent

Wherever they went

Does

Love does far more than exist

Hate festers and can barely

Subsist

The turrets

The turrets where she hid her heart remained empty

Redheart

 Pretty redheart reaches out

She prefers to whisper

Than to shout

Happy Mother’s Day

 mothers and those they love

a mother is a heart

that beats

a soul that lasts

a life that cares

a silent comfort

only she can give.

a mother is not

defined by blood

but by the nurturing

blanket that is

she.

Happy Mother’s Day ❤️

A way

 Blow away

Soon to be forgotten

But real in

Your own shadow

About Me

My photo
greetings! i have managed to incorporate my eternal woodstock nation spirit with the high tech 21st century world. i am an artist/writer, who dabbles in rhyme, and, sometimes, reason. my passions are my husband, who is truly the wind that ruffles my sails, animals rights, yoga...waking up in the morning. i find inspiration in too many things to list, and far too many more to remember. sketching, watercolor painting, poetry and photography are my ways of expressing joy and gratitude. from living with a chronic illness, i have learned the beauty of each day, and treat each as another sun salutation, and another chance.
