when man

when man showed up on this small planet round
he looked with awe and wonder at what he had found
oceans, deserts, mountains, streams
things that could only have come from
the creators dreams
creatures of lush fur, plumage, colors so high
in great abundance, from the seas to the sky
then one day man instituted his own fall
he decided that he had to control it all
and slowly but surely, they all began to vanish
to his own hell, man has sadly self-banished
