can we stop to honor
to remember,
not that which drive us apart
but that which draws us
together.
can we stop to honor
those young women and men
who gave their all and more
if not now,
then when.
can we stop and praise those
with us still
those already departed
war the most bitter of pills.
can we stop the hate
the vicious screed
these heroes did not fight for
those ugly misdeeds.
can we stop
then, can we start the love
instead.
and put at last the
evils to bed.
thank you to all who served us well
the tears in our hearts...
no words can really tell

About Me
- karen lyons kalmenson
- I am a proud senior, forever hippie, who has incorporated the peace and love vibe into the technosphere of the 21st century. Gratitude and love of all beings is what I live for and how I live. My husband and I are guardians of pteribird in heaven and magic Mikey a special needs senior parrot, whose intelligence and love is beautiful and humbling. Blessings
