my shadow

my shadow goes
at times with me
and is the silliest
of company.
i move one way
he imitates
if i sit still,
he sits and waits.
and when i want to fly
he flies too
there is nothing
i can do
then he lands where
i perch next
how does he does this,
i ask,
perplexed
