he railed,
derailed
by what life
had done
the chances
he felt he
never had
before it had
all begun.
the losses,
the insults
the wrongs done
to him
his own faults
unknowing
his visions
so dim.
the pains he had
suffered
the suffering he caused
if asked why his
answer would be
simply,
because.
he pointed all
fingers outward
never directed within
his potential destroyed
this his greatest sin.
and yet when all was
said and done,
from himself he
could not run.
at last in peace
eternal repose
what could he
have been if
he were well
one can only
suppose.

About Me
- karen lyons kalmenson
- I am a proud senior, forever hippie, who has incorporated the peace and love vibe into the technosphere of the 21st century. Gratitude and love of all beings is what I live for and how I live. My husband and I are guardians of pteribird in heaven and magic Mikey a special needs senior parrot, whose intelligence and love is beautiful and humbling. Blessings
