| nesting eagle |
 |
| inhabitants of eagle mountain |
our lives short
and struggle-filled.
another of our flock
has been killed.
we go on with our days
though sad we be.
such is garage eagle
life,
no time for pity.
we cannot rest
we have to fly,
each second a test
of live or die.
