it was all about you, you did not share
but now i have come to comprehend
your heart was broken and did not mend
your hurt and anger, lack of self esteem
felt alone and threatened by my dream
now time has passed and its toll exacted
damage done, sadly impacted
but that was then, now is all that matters
as we grasp onto the moment
