the meditation of the rain

the meditation of summer rain as it falls.
the warm winds embrace,
the soft clouds entice,
can be very nice.

i wish the world were as pretty as flowers

i wish the world were
as pretty as flowers,
that days were counted

in loving hours.
that we could all fix what
wrong was done.
that there was no sadness,
just laughter and fun.
that somehow this time,
we could get it right,
life is short and always
one step away from
goodnight.

the spiraling staircase goes
neither up nor down.
it just keeps going
around and around.

what is in front and along side of me.
what i hear and what hears me.
are all apart and a part
are we.

roses are.
for a time they be.
they grace the world
with their symmetry.
from buds they flourish,
then quietly fade.
as they walk the path
of life's
parade

enmeshed in greens
and intertwined,
together they grow,
in heart, in mind.
though separate in
body,
a united force.
and in this strong union,

colorwall

she needs to see life as a colorwall,
oblivious to the dark phantoms
behind it all.
her heart cannot stand the hurts,
the actions so cruel and harsh.
the merry go round of colors,
saves her from that withered
marsh.
wounded, not healing
from what she left behind.
struggling, while dealing
