So sweet a dream

So sweet a dream
Complete to find
With loving hearts
And peace of mind.

in

in utter tranquility
a taste of civility.

we are aware

As in the sand some bury their heads,
Innocents are tormented and dead
But for the cruel there is
No place to go.
We will share and
Let all the world
Know

spread

i am sooo big
as you can see
nobody as big
or as cute
as me...
the leader of all
pigeonry.

i am not

i am not asked
i do not know
where i am headed
but fly
i go.

depression

depression is real.

depression does not go away because you want it too..

depression does not discriminate...and takes no prisoners.

depression kills...the soul, the spirit and the very lives it possesses.

depressions breaks the hearts of those who care.

please, at holiday times.. remember and support those who are depressed, as holidays can magnify the isolation that is depression.

thank you.

alone

alone you seek
the answers
from others
they are inside you
just take
a peek

twinkling pinkling

twinkling pinkling
cauliflower color

if the world were this
pretty,
would it then be
nice.

amarillo

in sunshine colors
we look within
to share the joy
we feel,
without.
a gentle vision
no need
to
shout

between

between the sky
the walls of trees
alone her counsel kept
but dreams or more
as she slept.

there is

if there is a listening star to whom we could pray...please make all the sadness and suffering go away

what can one see

what can one see
as snow is falling
lights ahead
some hope,
instead.

maple red

maple red
so tall she stands
as winds and snow
try out their hands.
seasons come
seasons pass
maple red
is built to
last.

of the snow

of the snow
she never knew
yet as it fell
this cold
something new
white chilly
blanket
of winter's
dew.

pretty whytes

pretty whytes out in the rain
holding on to each moment
until winter begins,
again.

with heads bows...in honor of those who served, serve now and will serve

with heads bows
a world of tears
for those wounded
and those no longer
here,
with heads bowed
in sweet release
this lull between wars...
we all pray for peace.

veterans day

they stormed the beaches
on that cold gray day.
they did not know what to do
nor what to say....
they ran straight ahead into enemy fire
friends around them shot dead
such scenario dire.
yet fought they did
for the freedoms they believe.
we are thankful for those who made it
and for those who did not, we grieve.
for without these heroes
we could not type these words
stand for that which matters
have our voices heard.

if we work hard and pray,
perhaps one day all wars
will go away

when young

when young i dreamed of  a home
could be like this
with welcoming arms
and nature's kiss.

behind

behind the daily,
the divine.

embrace

embrace those you love with joyous abandon.
do not judge
do not over think...
just love

flock

alone we are to face the clock
the time that ticks the time
that tocks
alone we are but if
we flock
perhaps we as we roll
we can also
rock!

so pretty i see

so pretty i see
this in front of
me.

inspired when there are

inspired,
when there are
no words needed.

upside...not down

the world looks up,
though
upside down i be
on this branch
of this pretty
tree.

About Me

My photo
i am older than dirt and proud of it!!!! i have managed to incorporate my eternal woodstock nation spirit with the high tech 21st century world. i am an artist/writer, who dabbles in rhyme, and, sometimes, reason. my passions are my husband, who is truly the wind that ruffles my sails, animals rights, yoga...waking up in the morning. i find inspiration in too many things to list, and far too many more to remember. sketching, watercolor painting, poetry and photography are my ways of expressing joy and gratitude. from living with a chronic illness, i have learned the beauty of each day, and treat each as another sun salutation, and another chance.
