to honor

as we sit and debate,
when to leave all those
foreign lands,
our veterans, wait,
for care, respect
and what they deserve
they protected us all,
as they sacrificed
and served,
yes we hate war,
and wish there
were none.
but do not forget
our vets,
whether we lost
or won

the fourth of july

the fourth of july is about being free
living as one chooses, naturally
for all those unfortunate beings
who do not celebrate
as they are in cages or chains
silently, they wait
we are trying to change things
so they can fly high, dive in blue waters
howl at the sky
sleep in a warm bed,
with soft human voices
when that day comes,

the whole world, rejoices♥

when

when the heart and mind
close the door,
the essence of the soul
is no more.

a deafening roar
what will happen
to the world
if we hear it,
