February 5th is western monarch day
the beauty of monarchs
their magic wondrous.
their numbers once vast,
disappearing from view.
a face from our ancient
worlds mysteries
as they fly into the moonlight
the stars cry out their names.
Please protect them
Without them
Our world will not be the same
