in sadness

in sadness i sit,
by words confined,
lost in the convolutions
of a once not
broken mind.

i start to

every time i want to try,
instead, i close up
and start to cry.
overburdened by
the futility of it all,
wrapped up in tears,
i sit,
and
stall.

these are my humans,
they love me so.
they watch what i eat,
... they watch as i grow.
