perhaps you think we are jumping the gun
but 2021 was not much fun
inundated were we all by COVID
when we would have preferred
some poems by ovid.
okay perhaps the rhyme above
is a stretch
(we think so too but don't bother
to kvetch)

joy, love and smiles
whatever you do
and hope that the madness
that has overtaken
will be shattered by love,
stirred and shaken
