freedom is

freedom is,
as i see
the right to agree
or disagree.
freedom is the right
to speak
stand up or kneel
for what you believe
be you strong or weak
freedom is more than
a right,
it is a gift
too often taken for granted
or given short shrift
so while we swim amongst
the tangles and snarls
of our world view.
we embrace our freedom
and to our freedom we say
thank you!
