before the cries
of those who were
injured
of those who
have
died.
before the tears
the music rang
people rejoiced
carefree,
as they sang.
before the tears
the normalcy
plans for their lives
their families.
before the tears
now broken
with grief.
as in shock we sit
still in disbelief.
before more tears
please stop all this hate
blood spilled
fixes nothing,
for
far too late.
rest in peace
those who lives
were stolen away.
as we the survivors
start this most
saddened
day.
