upon a time
our generations
raised here.
all that we know.
now humans and
their noisy cars
decide we have
to go.
we are confused we mean
no harm.
our mess not intentionally made.
but humans heard a different voice
a cruel game they have played.
could you not have found a way
a gentle compromise
so in this our home
we could have stayed,
and not offended your eyes.
please rethink what you have done
this earth is meant to be shared.
we know you can do better than this
and deep inside your hearts
you care.
