i am a dog,
i live for you,
i am yours,
through and through.
yet you tire of me,
throw me away.
this misery happens
every day.
you humans just
do not comprehend,
that we dogs forever
love you, even
after the end.
whatever our color,
lack of, or breed.
it is our overwhelming
dogginess
that does the loving
deed.
so please neuter and spay,
and do not throw us
away
