i am just one dog

i am just one dog,
there are so many
like me,
starved for love
and human company.
you genetically
created us, made
us how we are.
then you abandon and
abuse us,
why did you go so far.
we are not hairy toys
to be created and
forgotten.
all we do is live for love,
while many of you
humans are just plain rotten.
