but can you hear
the messages she send us
loud and clear
each time a leaf turns
toward the rain
do you hear its gentle strain
as raindrops touch the surface
of a lake
do you hear the music
each droplet makes
as wind whirrs through the branches
of each hungering tree
do you feel the symphony?
