le jardin de terre deux

this is the garden god created,
meant to be shared, not decimated.
it is not up to the hand of man,
to decide which species
live and die on their land.
man is here to protect
the planet's health,
not destroy it with
cunning or stealth.
humans please respect everything you see,
before it is all history.

  1. Dear Karen,

I've noticed your often-poetic (both literally and metaphorically) comments on the NY Times's website, and curiosity led me to your blog. I'm a writer and editor at The Bygone Bureau (bygonebureau.com), an online arts and culture magazine, and I'm currently working on a piece about the Times's comments culture -- in which the few poet-commenters like yourself will probably figure very prominently.

I was wondering if you would consider conducting a brief interview with me over e-mail about your comment-box poetry? I can be reached at dcampbell@post.harvard.edu

    Thanks very much,
    Darryl Campbell
