the human hand that touched her face,
also reached into her hurt heart space.
her humans before were very cruel,
using her to fight her own kind
as a bloodsport tool.
but this new person so soft of hand,
bandaged her leg that could no longer stand,
wiping away her blood and fear,
was that water so salty a human tear?
